Amahl and the Night Visitors

On Sunday December 8, 2013 at 5.30pm, Music at Bray staged Gian-Carlo Menotti's touching musical drama, Amahl and the Night Visitors, by candlelight.

This touching story tells of forgiveness and redemption, ideal for the festive season. The Night Visitors (or Three Kings) make their journey to Jesus' manger, only to stumble across the hut of Amahl (sung by 12 year old, Sean Douglas) and his Mother. Many things happen on that dark night, but everything ends happily, of course! Following the recent success of Noye's Fludde last month, this performance welcomes back guest singers from ENO and Glyndebourne, with sets designed by Ian Murray, and contributions from St Michael's Choir and Sunday School.
