All hands to the pump for opera
St Michael’s Church was sold out for two performances of Benjamin Britten’s opera Noye’s Fludde on Sunday November 10, 2013.
Children from Holyport Primary and Braywood First School were among the cast of the show, which tells the story of Noah and the Great Flood. They were joined by members of Redroofs Theatre School and Berkshire Maestros.
Jim Tucker, church warden at St Michael’s praised the cast and crew for putting on a polished production.
“It was brilliant – a huge team effort,” he said. "We had two full houses. The children from Holyport and Braywood were absolutely excellent. "The set was really good. People from church made the lighting.”
